A very busy couple of weeks in the practice. One poor PIP patient had previously had banned Trilucent (soya) breast implants taken out and replaced…
We have now been ensconced in the new clinic (Purity Bridge at Tunbridge Wells Plastic Surgery) since early June, and things are going from strength to strength. After the inevitable teething problems and minor glitches (and I apologise if anyone’s communication with the practice was detrimentally effected) we are feeling much more at home at the new clinic.
Feedback has been positive, and we have also had some very constructive comments and suggestions on how we can continue to improve things.
On a personal front, in addition to my busy clinical schedule, I am in the midst of a very busy period preparing and giving lectures to a variety of audiences:
- Early in July I organised and lectured at a day on facial aesthetic rejuvenation to all the plastic surgery trainees in London and the South East. It was held in the McIndoe Surgical Centre, and we were looked after very well by the staff…including one brave and willing volunteer who agreed to sit in front of the whole audience to have her face and facial ageing discussed (thank you Linda!).
- On the 1st October I have been invited to lecture at the Royal Society of Medicine’s Breast Aesthetic Day. I will be discussing tuberous breasts, and how I manage this challenging condition. Please click here to read more about it
- The following week, I have been asked to talk on how to get predictable and reliable results in breast lifting (mastopexy) at the much feted conference being organised at Olympia, the CCR-Expo.
All of these lectures takes lots of preparation, including taking video clips during surgery (many thanks to my patients who have given me permission to do this)
Unlike last year, August is proving to be a busy month in the practice, with lots of operating coming up, and a continuous stream of new enquiries coming into the new clinic. So all very positive!
If you haven’t been up to have a look, please feel free to come and visit anytime – we have Lucy offering beauty therapy in the beauty spa downstairs, with the main clinical area on the ground floor. More updates to come soon!
